Alter Falter… ich rege mich schon oft auf beim zocken von Battlefield 3 und / oder Modern Warfare 3, da knallt auch ab und an mal die Faust auf den Tisch, weil man sich entweder über die Honks im eigenen Team, über den Gegner der einen zum x-ten mal niederstreckt, oder über die eigene Dummheit aufregt. Doch diese Granny versprüht geradezu puren Hass gegen den Kraut “Der Totschlager”. 
Das Call of Duty Elite im Moment läuft wie nen Sack Nüsse, geht mir tierisch auf eben diese. Schließlich hat man für diesen Service gezahlt, welcher im Vorfeld hoch gelobt wurde. Doch heute erreicht mich die folgende Email, welche nicht nur bestätigt, das Gründungsmitglieder 30 Tage zusätzliche Mitgliedschaft für lulu bekommen, sondern auch, das Gründungsmitglieder einen ‘priorisierten’ Zugang erhalten werden, damit der Service auch genutzt werden kann.
This week we launched ELITE and MW3 with the goal of bringing together the Call of Duty community like never before. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer has been off to a smooth start. Call of Duty ELITE however is off to a rocky start. Many of you have tried to get into the new service and have had difficulty.
Simply put, we have not lived up to your – or our – expectations with this launch, and we owe you an apology, and an explanation of how we are fixing this.
The sheer number of MW3 gamers coming online at the same time crushed our registration and login systems. We fixed that specific issue, but have now found that the demand is now also crashing our data servers. We are deploying multiple additional servers, and are also going to temporarily limit access to ELITE services on both the console applications and website while we build additional capacity and scale. We have deployed resources from across the company working 24/7 on this problem, and we look to increase access to greater numbers of users as soon as possible.
If you do not see all your recent matches or career summary, don’t worry – your gameplay data for your entire careers in both Black Ops and MW3 are safely stored, and it will all be available to you once these issues are resolved.
As a Founder, know that granting your status and in-game benefits in MW3 is a priority. We will also be prioritizing your access to ELITE in order to ensure that you are among the first to get fully into the service. Also, to make sure that you are still getting the value you deserve, we are immediately and automatically extending your membership to Call of Duty ELITE by 30 days at no additional cost.

Am 17. Februar 2012 kommt ‘Act of Valor‘ in die US-Kinos. Leider habe ich bisher keinen deutschen Starttermin finden können, denn der Trailer sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern der Film hat auch ganz besondere Schauspieler in petto. Für diesen Film hat Regisseur Mike McCoy zwei Jahre lang mit einer Spezialeinheit der US-Navy zusammengearbeitet – den Navy Seals.
‘Act of Valor’ erzählt die Geschichte eines Seals-Teams, welches bei einer Rettungsmission eines CIA-Agenten die Pläne für einen Terroranschlag auf die USA entdeckt. Die Seals müssen den Terroristen einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen und versuchen dabei einen Spagat zwischen den Alltag eines Soldaten und ihrem Privatleben hinzukriegen. Während die Familie zuhause sitzt und sich sorgt, kämpfen die Seals für ihr Land.
Das kling nach einem Pro-USA Film, nach heroischer Propaganda, doch all das juckt mich nicht. Den Trailer finde ich beeindruckend gut und die Tatsache das sich Mike McCoy die echten Selas nicht nur zur Beratung an die Seite geholt hat, sondern diese auch vor der Kamera zu sehen sind, finde ich äußerst interessant.
Aufmerksam wurde ich auf den Trailer durch Battlefield 3, denn unter actofvalor.com/bf3 können sich Battlefield-Spieler ein paar Extra Dogtags abstauben, wenn sie sich dort den Trailer anschauen. Leider gibt es die Hundemarken nicht bei uns in Deutschland, sondern nur in den USA. Doch die Anfrage soll funktionieren, wenn man seinen Origin-Account auf einen US-Account umstellt. Ich selbst habe das nicht ausprobiert.
